What is the price and how do I pay?

Depending on what is happening on the night, the price can range. Please check the event page for full details of each night. You pay at the door on the night. You can contact us from the details above if you could like to make arrangements or have a large group.

Where is it held?

It is held in the Black Box on Hill Street in Belfast

What time does it normally start?

Doors open at 8pm.

I'm not a dancer. Is it still ok to come along?

Of course you can! 8 to the Bar is welcoming for everyone be you a dancer, a listener or an observer. Come along to soak up the atmosphere of the night, listen to the great tunes, watch the dancers cut a rug and the spectacular performances. You are more than welcome!

I'm a beginner at dancing. Will this event suit me ok?

Yes this is the perfect place to find your dancing feet. We understand it can be intimating for new dancers but our dance community is very welcoming and will encourage you to give it a go. We've all been there too. 8 to the bar always has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and hopefully at some point you will get the confidence to get on the dance floor too.

I would like to learn to dance. Where can I find info about this?

Well you've come to the right place! We run beginner Charleston and Lindy Hop classes through the Crescent Arts Centre and you can find all the information on our Bellehopper's classes page. We sometimes will run taster classes at the start of the 8 to the Bar night so look out on the event's page for those.

Can I reserve for large groups?

No problem. Contact us with the details and we will try to help you out as best we can.
